Turn It Gold Gala – Mardi Gras Texas Style was a record-breaking success! In a time of so much division in our world, we saw the very best of people in our community come together Saturday night for a truly memorable event. We honored the bravery of cancer survivors Grace Mosby and Peyton Jackson, witnessed the testimony of Michael Hobby and his brothers after the loss of their brother Grayson to childhood cancer, and honored the very brave life of Jake Hickford, whose battle ended in 2014 when he entered Heaven’s gates. Thank you to every person who attended, donated, and grew in the knowledge of the severe lack of funding for childhood cancer research! To the team of chairs – LaJeana Hardig, Katherine Gring, Jeannette Muecke, Joslyn Paris – your event planning skills are unparalleled and your friendship and commitment are unwavering. Thank you endlessly for all you have done over and over to make this event possible. The most exciting news is that we raised $600,000 this year! We will see you at the next one!
