Stratford High School hosted a Turn it Gold Football game this week. At this game, we honored 3 individuals who have fought pediatric cancer.

One of our honorees was Miles Hartz; who tragically lost his battle with Osteosarcoma this past June. Miles would have been a senior this year. We were able to recognize his parents David and Ingrid at the game. We were also honored to gift this family with a check of $20,000 for the Miles of Hope Osteosarcoma Fund.

Our second honoree; Scarlett Filippov, received a bravery medal. Scarlett is a 12-year-old who is in remission after battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Lastly, we honored Stratford freshman Kaden Pointer with a bravery medal. Kaden has been in remission for three years after fighting brain cancer.

These bravery award recipients were honored with bravery medals engraved with their names and the Turn It Gold battle cry.
