Manziel Plays in Allen Open to Help Two Causes

A year ago 44 golfers took part in the Allen Open to help raise funds for Allen Academy, but adding a Heisman Trophy winner to the group made the 2013 version quite a bit more successful.

144 players, including Johnny Manziel, participated in this year’s tournament, which will raise money for Allen Academy but also will end up making about a $20,000 donation to Charlie Dina’s charity, the Texas Children’s Hospital: Cancer Center.
