Thank you for helping the Storytelling Institute, Passion Works Studio, and Ohio Bobcats to Turn It Gold with Passion this weekend. Turn It Gold exists to elevate the voices of families impacted by childhood cancer, to shift the landscape of childhood cancer care, and to create spaces where courage is shared rather than carried alone.
What unfolded in the Ohio University Convocation Center reflects people from all walks of life rallying around 5-year-old Delaney Lucas and the countless other kids like her facing cancers. Bold Awards were presented to Coaches Bob Bolden and Jeff Boals and the Ohio Women and Men’s Basketball Teams, recognizing their continued commitment to standing alongside children year after year. These moments honor leadership shaped by care and presence.
Through gold banners and flowers painted by many hands at Passion Works Studio, the stories of local families impacted by childhood cancer moved through the Convo. The narrative does not end here. It continues wherever people choose to stand boldly with children and families affected by childhood cancer.
