By August 24, 2016 No Comments

The Ohio University Bobcats and Athens High Bulldogs are partnering with Turn It Gold to unite families and communities affect by childhood cancer, inspire local businesses and individuals to take bold action, and elevate the funding of childhood cancer research. Mayor Steve Patterson will issue a city-wide proclamation in support of September as National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout the month, over 40 businesses will participate in this community-wide effort by displaying “Bleed Green, Turn It Gold” window decals, collecting donations through coin boxes, placing Turn It Gold stickers on products, distributing information about childhood cancer, painting gold ribbons on windows, and in some cases creating “Turn It Gold Specials” during the week of the Ohio and Athens High Football Games that will benefit Turn It Gold. Big Thank You goes out to all the amazing people and businesses that are participating!
